摘要:
[ Purpose / significance] With the advancement and extensive application of smart technologies, the complexity of smart libraries as human-machine-environment systems is increasingly highlighted. To promote the scientific and sustainable development of smart libraries, it is essential to establish targeted abstract thinking tools, and further clarify its internal mechanism such as the composition of elements and structure. [ Method / process] Content mining techniques and analytical methods were employed to quantitatively extract the constituent elements of the smart library system. Building upon this, a conceptual model was developed from the perspective of socio-technical system theory, delving into the relationships among constituent elements. [ Result / conclusion] This study identifies that the smart library system comprises four critical elements: core, resources, space, and tools, which are respectively categorized into the social subsystem and the technical subsystem. These two subsystems interact in specific ways, generating key issues worthy of attention. Research into the internal mechanism of the smart library systems can provide effective guidance for future policy formulation, development plan, and technological roadmap design in the construction and development of smart libraries. © 2024 Information studies: Theory and Application.
